Almaden Valley

Almaden Valley is a beautiful neighborhood and valley in the southern part of San Jose, California. The valley and neighborhood are situated between Mount Umunhum, the Santa Cruz Mountains and the Santa Teresa Hills. It is a thriving upper-middle class, suburban neighborhood, which is primarily residential in nature and features elegance and comfort as a mainstay. Technology research and development is the main industry in the area, and it is a thriving part of Silicon Valley. The population of the neighborhood is mainly made up of educated and wealthy executives and their families. The neighborhood was named after the New Amalden Quicksilver Mine, which was in turn named after a mercury mine in Almaden, Spain.
